    Proctor farmers market

    A producers-first market that takes over the Proctor intersection on Saturdays through the growing season. It is the reason the district feels different on a Saturday morning than any other day of the week.

    Arts

    Live glassblowing at the Museum of Glass

    The cone houses a working hot shop with amphitheatre seating, so watching glass being made is part of a visit rather than a separate ticket. Whether the shop is active on a given day depends on the museum's own schedule.

    Tacoma Dome season

    Arena shows land here rather than in Seattle often enough to matter. The practical consequence is traffic: downtown streets and parking tighten considerably in the hours before a show.
