Curran Apple Orchard Park is the most particular thing University Place owns. It is a 7.33-acre city park on Grandview Drive West planted with roughly 200 apple trees, and the City describes it simply as open to the public, with a band shell and a play area among the amenities. The day-to-day life of the orchard belongs to a volunteer group, which maintains and operates the trees and runs the educational programmes, the summer concert series and the annual Cider Squeeze that draws people from across the county.
